Issue and Use of the
basmaCard
Issue
You may apply for the basmaCard
from the basmaPartners or Reward Merchants or from other
designated establishments. If you are a BankMuscat credit
cardholder, the basmaCard will have been delivered by post to
your address, which has been notified to BankMuscat.
PIN
Upon receipt of the basmaCard, You
must immediately change the initial PIN provided with the
basmaCard to a personal PIN of Your choice and activate the
basmaCard by presenting the basmaCard at any Merchant Partner
establishment or at any other location advised by the
basmaPartners. No basma Transaction is necessary for activation
of the basmaCard.
You must keep
the basmaCard in a safe place and keep the PIN confidential.
You must comply with any
reasonable instructions that the basmaPartners may give
concerning the use and safekeeping of the Card.
Use of the
basmaCard
The basmaCard and PIN must be used
only in accordance with these Terms and Conditions contained and
must not be used in any way that would result in credit of
Points on the basmaCard or redemption of Points on the basmaCard
other than for a purchase of goods or services.
The basmaCard may only be used for
basma Transactions at Rewards Partner outlets during the
validity period.
The basmaCard is not transferable
and the Cardholder is the sole authorised user of the Card. The
Cardholder should under no circumstances whatsoever allow the
Card and /or PIN to be used by any other individual.
Loss of the
basmaCard
In the event that you lose or
damage the basmaCard, please inform the basma Call Centre on
(968) 2479 9358
of such loss or damage immediately. The basmaPartners may at
their discretion issue a substitute basmaCard, subject to the
payment of a fee for the provision of the same. Whilst the
basmaPartners shall attempt to suspend the lost basmaCard, they
shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused to the
Cardholder or any third party through the unauthorised use or
misuse of the basmaCard.
Validity of
the basmaCard
The basmaCard is valid until 31
December 2008 unless the basmaProgramme is terminated earlier.
Renewal and
Replacement of basmaCards
Whilst you may apply for the
renewal and/ or replacement of a basmaCard, the
basmaPartners reserve their exclusive right to determine whether
or not renew or replace basmaCards.
Cancellation
of the basmaCard
The basmaPartners may at their
absolute discretion, cancel the basmaCard at any time, without
assigning a reason for the same and also basma Transactions from
taking place. In the event that your basmaCard is cancelled, You
will not be entitled to redeem basmaPoints and shall have no
right of recourse against the basmaPartners or Merchant
Partners for any loss or damage arising, or any right to
institute any claim or suit and neither the basmaPartners nor
the Merchant Partners shall be liable in any way in the event of
cancellation. |
