Award
Transactions and Redemption Transactions
basmaPoints are awarded based on
the Points Formula against purchases of goods and services at
basmaMerchant establishments.The Award Transaction is affected
via a POS Terminal. Other than BankMuscat points which will be
awarded monthly before the 5th of every subsequent month, the
basma cardholder must present the basmaCard at the time of
purchase at the designated basmaPartners to collect the points.
No points will be issued by the basmaPartners at a subsequent
time if the points are not loaded at the time of purchase.
basmaPoints may be redeemed by
purchasing goods and services using the basmaPoints accumulated
in your Account. To affect a Redemption Transaction you must
provide the basmaCard to the Rewards Merchant to enable the
basmaCard to be debited with the basmaPoints required for
redemption via a POS Terminal.
The basmaPartners shall, through a
third party service provider, maintain a record of basma
Transactions.
All basma Transactions shall be at
the discretion of the basmaPartners and the
basmaPartners shall have the right to disallow or rescind an
Award Transaction or Redemption Transaction if the basma
Transaction is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or in
breach of any other guidelines stipulated by the basmaPartners
from time to time.
Reversing a
basma Transaction
In the event that you are granted
a refund of the purchase price paid for goods or services
purchased / availed from the basmaPartners or a Rewards Merchant
any awards Transaction that has resulted will be reversed and
the basmaPoints awarded shall be deducted from Your Account. At
the time when a refund is made, you agree and undertake to
present the basmaCard to enable the basmaPoints to be deducted
at the time that the refund is made.
In the event that there are
insufficient basmaPoints on the card to reverse the award
Transaction, the basmaPartner or Rewards Merchant (as the case
may be) will retain from the refund amount in cash, equivalent
to the value of the basmaPoints that cannot be deducted from the
basmaCard, computed in accordance with the Points Formula.
In the event that the refund is
made otherwise than in cash you may be required to reimburse the
basmaPartner or Merchant Partner for the basmaPoints that cannot be
deducted from the Card in cash, which shall be computed in accordance
with the Points Formula.
basmaPoints
cannot be transferred from one basmaCard to another basmaCard,
unless BankMuscat and / or Oman Oil Marketing Company agrees or
confirms.
Points that are awarded on a
particular day can only be redeemed on the next day.
